THE CHEN FOUNDATION
STORY OF THE CHEN ADMINISTRATION
The Chen Administration began when Justin Chen's term as Vice President of MLK Middle School, when a trust advisory group was formed to support his leadership and campaign efforts. This was a small team but it was a team that gave me the most help me on winning the elections, it was their effort that helped me on winning votes from the students. Later I renamed this advisory board and appointed a total of 7-8 board members as the department of Justin Chen's Executive Board but then in the campaign election in 2024 for JustinForPresident campaign we renamed it to The Chen Foundation. That 7-8 Board Members are then appointed to the Board of Supervisors and Directors Department.
During my election as President, my personal board helped me succeed in the winning for President. Now then formed as The Chen Administration, my leadership has made a major change and reform to the campus site and initiatives my board has signed like Agenda 24/25 (Document Not Released to Public) and Opportunity for All has become a huge success at the campus! From the start my administration focused on listening to students, delivering real results, and making the student government more accessible and effective for the entire school community.
Our director of Student Government said that the years of my leadership or administration has brought will change how the next 7 years of how student government will be runned!
We are proud of what Justin has done and for his leadership! The Chen Administration will continue as Justin is committed to public service hoping to run for government in high school! (View the Board's Continuation 25/26 SY Plan). Even though the presidency is going to end soon but Justin and the Chen Foundation is not the end yet! We are continuing advocating for student across San Francisco Unified School District!
THE PRESIDENT EXECUTIVE ACTIONS & ORDERS

EO #001: Advocated 50K for new Chromebooks for students to enhance the learning experience and educational resources

EO #002: Authorized the creation of the first student government website in SFUSD middle schools. Enhance transparency and maintain student-to-student updates.

EO #003: Making sure that for the following years, we are going to have the Student Government make PA Announcements

EO #004: The Chen Foundation issued an executive order with School President Justin to relaunch Agenda 24/25, the student success advocate initiative and agenda of the school president.

EO #005 The Chen Foundation issued another executive order to School President Justin to launch the Opportunity For All initiative and mark it under The Chen Foundation's office name

EO #006 During the VP year, Justin led and created a carnival for students to have a fun and memorable year.

EO #007: Fundraising events are more on campus for fundraisers for the Student Government budget.

EO #008: The school president launched another executive order on launching an upcoming carnival event advanced version than last year's!

EA #001: Delivered remarks and helped plan the first AAPI celebration night at MLK Middle School

EA #002: The school president met with the School Site Council to finalize the next school year's school budget

EA #003: The school president marked his agenda and submitted it to the student government for review.

EA #004: The school president is also a major advocate for Peer Resources, helping enhance and support future peer mediators

EA #005: The school president delivered a speech at the MLK Field of Dreams inaugural ceremony with Mr. Fechter (Principal) and Mayor Lurie (Mayor of San Francisco).

EA #006: Developed a system of contacting the student government to make sure students have a way to contact their gov leaders.

EA #007: *Before school started, Justin went to the GLC or planning meeting to establish clear rules for upcoming grade levels.

EA #008: Advocated for an increase in MLK Spirit and proposed to the advisory dept. for feedback on assemblies and events on campus
EA #009: President Chen volunteered for the athletics department!

THE CHEN ADMINISTRATION
The Chen Administration represents the student government leadership of Justin Chen. He has built an administration and policy that will govern and lead the student government of MLK for the next 7 years. The platform he built with the Chen Foundation board member valued the principles of transparency, opportunity for all, and progress, This administration is committed to strengthening a better student life! Our focus includes academic support, community building, fostering an inclusive environment, diverse voices, productive meetings, and more!
Under Justin Chen's leadership, the Chen Administration has succeeded in the platform our committee has launched during the election. We had our election committee meeting before the election started and planned a new platform called the "Agenda 24/25," also known as Agenda 23/24. It is a student success advocate for students to have better education, access to resources, and the support they need to succeed. From securing the budget for new Chromebooks and leading campus events, our administration is proud of the work we have done, and we are also proud of what our chairman has accomplished!
